That "turd" is putting down some pretty impressive numbers!
I guess the 17 Ford GT is a turd also, along with the Taurus SHO and the F-150 ECO BOOST!
I'd love any of those "turds"
Let me guess, you also have a six banger?

When it's a Cyclone with any kind of mods, whether visual or performance, I usually say something to the effect of "Sweet ride".

The 4.0s and back are definitely turds no matter how you spin them, never seen a clean one that had me look twice.

Yeah I feel for those 2010 guys who bought their V6 or V8 new and the following year the 3.7 and 5ohs came out.
I would have been so pissed!
The 4.6 was a sweet sounding engine! The 4.0 though.....did it do anything well?

Come on, folks, let's treat each other nicely. Why turn an interesting conversation into something that divides?

Interesting thread.

I guess I'll need to go test drive a '15+ GT auto and try the S mode.
Maybe Ford figured it out. If they did maybe I'll consider an Auto, I had kind of decided I was going to go back to a Manual.

I've never been very impressed with my '14 GT's auto, whether in Manual, S or D its slow to shift from gear to gear, and a little rough (I guess the lack of rev matching). If I were to switch gears after apex, but still "in a turn" the changing of gears could mess up traction.

Paddle mod on earlier helps but, a tune on the auto is another planet entirely. Nothing is ever perfect for every sitch, manual or auto.

The 11-12s didn't have select shift and you couldn't have any performance stuff like bbp if you selected auto. That forced the stick on me bc I wasn't willing to give all that up.

13+ that all changed but, I see Ford still does this. 15 cars can't have TP with auto, as if any but a microscopic percentage will ever see track use.

There is an 05-09 4.0 on base here that does look really good. Guy converted to GT front with a CDC lip, has a nice set of rims on it, lowered, GT500 wing, Raxiom 13/14 style lights a nice light blue metallic paint and tinted windows. I think he might have had an aftermarket exhaust on it but nothing crazy. This is still the nicest 4.0 I have ever seen and I would have no problem rocking it as a DD.

The nicest thing about the 4.0 cars is they are dirt cheap for the S197 chassis to build whatever you want.

The only modded ones I see here are bone stock, with the base 17" rims, or just have a straight pipe coming out the back.

You should tell him to join ME.

I have a 2011 auto, I have had no caffeine this morning, so it may be dumb question, what's bbp?

Ahh, thanks.

Funny brakes are next thing I need to do to the car too.
