Cylinder 1 missfire code, help

Well, i have a cilinder 1 missfire code, my wife had placed 91 oct on my car which is tuned for 93 oct, it was driven hard and according to bama it could be a spark plug that went bad or the coil, i replaced the spark plug and the code is still on, could it be i have to replace the coil as well? I dont want to just buy the coil which is 70$ and not solve the problem? Anyone else hd this issue in the past?

Switch the #1 coil with a different one. If the misfire follows the #1 coil you know it's that.

Did you clear the code after replacing the plug?

Yes, i cleared the code right after seitching the plug, even retuned he car. I will go ahead and switch the coil to cylinder 2, but if it is the coil wouldnt it damage my spark plug on cycinder 2?

What if its not the coil? What would i check next? The injector?

Might have damaged a piston from detonation...

It sounds like a bad coil, I assume the plug you put in was the right temp range, either way that will only throw a code not kill the cyl. Test the #2 coil in place for functionality with a meter. Compare to others and with luck you have your problem.
