Do i need a oil change?

So couple month back i had my car parked outside for about 4 month while i was away and it made me wonder if oil will be good for sitting there so long.

How old is that oil? You should change the oil if it is over a year old no matter what the mileage. Oil additives that protect the engine break down with time.

If you change oil every 6-7 months sounds like you are there. Do you do it that often because you think it needs it or just a person that thinks it can't hurt for the price. Curious as I am new to the mustang group.

I am almost there, just wondering if oil goes bad in some way for sitting there so long. I dont think i change it often at all, manuals says 10k miles or 1 year but that seems abit too long especially for a sport car thats being driven spirited every chance i get. I also do my own oil change so buying 8quarts of full synthetic oil only cost me around 25$.

If you have to ask I would just do it for peace of mind. I don't think it will cause any harm to run it for a bit the way it is but why worry?

I've always went every 5k or so as well, sitting four months, might wanna change it for piece of mind, tho he's probably fine. If it sat for a year or more I'd say definitely change it

does the OLM suggest you change it?

fwiw on my 5-6K year toy I do mine every 9 months. That is 4changes in 3 years which is 1 more than the OLM would suggest.
