GT/CS and grill fogs
I ain't the first person to do this, no doubt but, I did do this today. I think it looks cool and these were cheap and Ford OEM, like $128 cheap on ebay. It make the front end look more complete, unlike the ugly blanking plates that were there before.
Had a hell of a time getting the blanking plates off but, it was pretty straightforward once that was done.
I did it a little differently. I wanted the fogs to all go on at the same time and wanted them all wired to the same circuit. So, I had to reduce the amp draw.
I put in some 60w equivalent Cree LED bulbs by Samsung. Then, I found the wire going over the rad support on my '14 that powers the lights in the grill (it's pink) and wired in the extension there to the CS lights and grounded them to a handy ground lug on the rad support. Works perfetto!
I am always of the belief you can't have too much light, it's a primary safety system. I don't expect much out of these little guys but, every little bit helps.
