Acceleration problem from exhaust leak??

This just happend, I was driving around today and everything seemed normal then gettin on the highway I downshifted into third and that brought me to 4k rpm, and Then have it at WOT and it felt like it had half of the power and also had a raspy noise coming from somewhere that I can't pinpoint but assuming the driver side header.

The car drives fine though under 4k rpm and also in neutral it sounds fine when brought up to 5k plus rpm.

I just never thought an exhaust leak would impact the cars performance like thay.

Oh and I have a cai, lt headers, bank xpipe, and bama 93 tune.

I have a similar issue. I thought mine was coming from exhaust rubbing creating a false knock. from what i searched no one on these forums has seemed to been able to fix this. What year is your car and how many miles

why do you assume its an exhaust leak causing this? sure you may have a leak and this issue, doesnt mean its the problem.
unless that leak is causing major false knock and your timing is cut it would make sense.

Mine came out of nowhere. I could tell engine was pulling timing from 3k-4k only in 3rd and 4th. No check engine light came on and I've ruled out several other options. Finally got exhaust fixed and it's better but still feels like its sluggish in that range. But to OP these cars have crazy sensitive knock sensors
