New Stang

well I finally moved up from my 05 GT , and picked up a clean 2011 about a month ago , 1 owner ,older lady , all service was done at the dealer , the car is well taken care of and bone stock and not abused ( witch we Mustang owners tend to do )
got a sweet deal on it &17,500 , its an Auto with the deluxe package , very happy with this car so far !!! the Auto was a big selling point ,I've been rowing gears a long time now , its getting old ,or am I getting old ? lol
anyway its quiet ,rides nice ,pulls strong ... thinking od leaving it stock ?
what do you guys think ?
so far I've just done wheels and tires ,and put some pioneer speakers in , probably do a few exterior mods down the road ,as I can never leave anytihng alone >>
Oh,ya had my friend over at Johnny Lightning performance email me a tune
and man what a difference that made on a stock car , all i can say is : Daaaaaamn

Nice car! You'er going to love the 5.0. As for mods take your time. Consider the pros and cons of each upgrade you want to do. If you take time you'll have 1 sweet ride that people will not be able to look away from.

love the ride and the line about leaving it stock followed by two lines of what you've already done and have planned.

good luck with it

Pretty sweet. I picked up a 2012 GT premium back in March that I upgraded from an 07 GT. Mine came from the factory with the 3.73 gears in the same color. Love the power and pull, especially 2nd thru 4th gear. I don't plan on doing much to the motor but I am going to swap out the shocks, struts and springs to drop it along with a few other suspension upgrades eventually. It's my daily driver and I'm getting around 18.5 mpg out of the 6 speed manual. Got mine with 46k miles for $18,800.Click image for larger version

If you do end up changing your gear ratio, make sure you get it done right, by someone who really knows these rear ends. If not, I promise it will be a nightmare for you. I will not ever change my gear ratio on this car lol. I did on my V6, and it wasn't done right , so I had to spend hundreds of dollars getting it fixed

I've done at least 8 or 9 in a row with no issues , after a couple noisy ones in the beginning , got it down now !!

So far i have been pretty pleased with the 3.73's. The best I've ever done on the highway is 23 mpg in 6th gear at around 2K Rpm but my average, well average according to the computer is about 18mpg. Sure does have the seat of the pants fun factor running through the gear box although I have to admit 1st gear kind of sucks when your just leaving a red light normally.
