Considering s/c 2016 GT

Hey guys just getting opinions on the Lebanon ford deal. It's the 727hp or 670hp roush supercharged base model GT for under 40k. I would be able to get it for slightly less using the Ford friends and family discount and would love to have a s/c 5.0.

One big question is can the motor handle that horse power or should I be concerned. I have not made a decision yet but I am pretty intrigued by it.

30K warranty so you are good until that runs out! Suggest upgrade the suspension right away to handle the extra power!

It's a good deal...the only thing I don't like is them sticking it on a base model car. I'd want all the bells and whistles and would pay to have them.

Just do yourself a favor and beef up the suspension and put on some real tires. Otherwise a 700+hp Mustang on a stock suspension is like banging a TJ hooker without protection...

Are you sure you can get that friends and family discount? I would think that since this is a modified car, and the warranty is not even the same one as the factory warranty, that the discount may not apply. The dealer is probably cutting his markup pretty close at that price and knocking a few thousands more off the car seems unlikely to me; but please let us know as I use the X-plan discount when I buy Fords and I would like to get that discount on that car if I can.

Considering s/c 2016 GT

They said the family plan is valid for the car but obviously not on the supercharger. They are supposed to call me tomorrow to answer more questions that I have in regards to trading in my current mustang and shipping costs.

This is a factory car with an add on. The discount is restricted on limited/ specialty vehicles like SVT/SHELBY/ROUSH.

That's awesome. The base gears would actually fit that application perfectly. I'd that cars was a base pp car with recaro seats I would be in heaven though. Minus the 3.73 gears of course. I think that would be too steep for that hp.

You can get any setup you like with the supercharger. If you want a premium they'll get you a premium but the price will reflect the difference.
