What's the problem? I use the jukebox, sat radio all the time, without issue. My car is tech pack with the Shaker 500. I had no issues with my 2012 with the same setup either.

Trying to play music off my phone. Its a PITA!!! It works, but I have to re-connect it everytime after I get a phone call. Or it will tell me there is no USB connect and stuff like that.

I had an aftermarket stereo put in my old 3.7 basically immediately so I never had to use this junk.

Just a nice kenwood nav, xm, Bluetooth double din I took out of my last vehicle. Does the trick. Works 10x better than the factory crap. I got fed up with the Bluetooth after 3 weeks owning my car. Plus it sounds 100x better.

Lately I have been toying with pulling it all out and going back to stock on the radio only because the car is becoming more of a track car. It isn't my daily anymore. I literally never listen to the stereo when I take it for a spin since buying a daily.

Did you guys update your SYNC? I don't have any issues with it ever since applying the update.

I updated my sync, it's still very unreliable. I usually end up doing a factory reset once every month or so to keep it running. I have a 2011 V6 with shaker 500 system in it.
I have noticed it works better with an iPhone than my old Galaxy S5. Android rarely displayed metadata while playing rhapsody or Pandora.

At some point I'll replace the stereo but most of the aftermarket car stereos sound like sh*t these days to me, so I'm not sure if I'll find anything I like. I used to install car stereos in the late 80's and early 90's and everything seemed to sound better

It's weird, in my 11 that I never updated, the voice recognition software always picked up what I said, with my 14 however I have to repeat "Bluetooth Audio" at least twice.

I was gonna get suspension mods but leaning more towards a new stereo w/nav because of the annoyance that comes with Sync.

There's an update? Does it let you default to bluetooth audio? I always have to do it manually when i get in the car.

I got a Pioneer 8100 Nex - Stereo Navigator Metra 99 -5826CH Dash Kit

Absolutely love it. The Pioneer has everything and Car Play and Android and Iphone Play. Sound is great with the Shaker System I have in the car. I had a Scosche dash kit that stopped working - so switched to the Metra - haven't had any problems at all with the climate controls. Works perfect!

my '13 works like champ after last upgrade. No more telling it to play bluetooth.

remembers the device and if the app is still active when I get back in, it will pick it up and play immediately, like from my Tidal app. No more lost sync, either

I checked online at ford and it said im up to date with version (Gen1 - 4.2.1.T) but my car doesn't default to bluetooth media . Would be convenient if it would.

I smiled as I read through this...just yesterday I installed a refurbished stock AM radio in a 67 Camaro I'm working on. Good old boring talk shows on AM stations.

I have Sirius and Am/FM - streaming from my phone Pandora and Amazon and anything I can put on a storage disk. I love it.

Plus it will give me directions and warnings about speed and radar traps and nearest gas stations, restaurants, hotels - etc. Will be using that this weekend as we head to Texas to visit relatives that have had a lot of rain but no flooding for a week's visit!

My sync started being a pain in the *** AFTER I applied the latest update. Randomly the Mobile Apps functionality will refuse to function.

It won't work until I pull the fuse. It happens so much I was I researching how to wire a relay so I could flip a switch on an off to cut the fuse.

I posted about it here: k1DBLITZ - Ramblings of a gamer...: How to Fix Your Ford Sync (Mustang)

I have had three cars now with Sync and have accumulated over 100k miles and Sync has been flawless in all three. Even the rental cars I have had with it over the last 5 or 6 years have worked perfectly.

I'm in the process of getting a aftermarket stereo but I can find any good dash kits. All the ones I find are mega expensive and I have to buy extra stuff to keep my steering wheel controls. Im sick of sync as well so how do I install a new radio and not use sync?

You have to buy an adapter to keep Sync, which also includes your steering wheel controls.

You can choose not to buy it, but you still have to buy the dash kit and stereo, so you'd only save $70-90 depending where you got it from.

Sync on my 2011 has always been an issue, sometimes it refuses to pair with the phone. I did find it works a lot better with iPhones than android however. Most of the time I couldn't get metadata to pull up with my android phone. By the way, I rent cars a lot too, never seem to have problems with sync in them but sync issues seem to crop up with long term ownership, not short term rentals.

So if I boot sync I lose steering wheel controls, or I buy the box and don't connect the sync portion and connect only the steering wheel control portion?
