Track time

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to take mine to the track soon. There's a course for beginners in Lexington Ohio (about 2 hrs or so away from me) I'm going to try to attend this summer. I am more curious how to find a drag strip event, however. Milan Drag way isn't too far away but I'm wondering if I can just show up to a TnT without having ever drag raced. Any advice/ input for beginners like me?

Thanks!

Most tracks have no problem with beginners on test and tune night. Bring a helmet and have fun.

Everyone has to start somewhere.

Most ttracks are very relaxed for test and tune and in most cases they don't enforce the helmet in my experience
I see you are from toledo, how far are you from Norwalk OH? They have a nice track there and usually have a TnT on wednesdays a couple times a month.

I'm about 70 miles away (1hr 20 mins) from Norwalk. That wouldn't be too bad to do one of these days. I'm glad it's laid-back because I'm nervous taking it for the first time, but you gotta start somewhere right?

Norwalk

Was there last fall. Track is first class, more like a NHRA/IHRA facility.
Won't go back only cause its 3 hours from me, I live in Western PA.
But I didn't have a helmet and it was like 7 bucs to run, if I remember correctly.
But be prepared for a lot of people, there were probably 300 cars there.
I did get 3 passes in and beat a hellcat, only cause he spun!

A win is a win, hahha. Sounds like you have bragging rights for a long time for that!

As long as I can get a single pass that I'm happy with, I'll leave satisfied.

I might just take a trip and do one of the ones that are 3 hours away from me, because I would be able to do that before September
