Lund & VMP Experiences

So I'm getting a tune to correct smaller tires, and after much reading and searching, I narrowed it down to 2 that offer the nGauge with the best reputation.

I'm not asking for a direct comparison, just people's honest experiences with them, as I mainly just found X guy that had Y mods and got W more power by switching to either from Z tuner, which doesn't really help.

The only difference other than whatever people post as experiences, is that Lund offers revisions for bolt on mods, tires, etc while VMP charges per change.

This would usually not bother me since it's a small charge, but I don't want to pay extra just to change my tire size for the winter, or to turn off the O2 sensors because I decided to go to an off road H pipe.

I've also heard VMP is the go to for Auto, Lund for Manual. Don't know how true that is. I also called both to see if they had a discount for military personnel, Lund did not answer, while VMP did.

I wouldn't know, after about 2 hours of research and mostly everyone seemed to be VMP, Lund, or AED. AED doesn't offer nGauge tunes so I had to scratch them off the list.

Lund turns off your rear o2's automatically unless you ask him not to.

Both offer free revisions though and both would be an excellent choice.

I've not tried Lund or VMP but I've had many others and MPT is superb compared to all I've tried.

I got good service from both your selections but went with VMP bc of the auto experience. No complaints. Car runs strong, datalogs fine and VMP leaves some user adjustable features on so you can correct for gear ratio choices and tweak a few things to your preference.

Thanks guys, ended up going with Lund. They don't answer their phone at all apparently, but by god is their email response time quick. John N answered every question I had and never made me feel like I was bothering him.

Does Lund give free revisions? I've been doing research and even on the Lund website It says that they charge for revisions. They are free only the first 6 months and after that they charge. Can someone clarify plz? Thx

If you buy a tune after 1Jun16, yes it's only free for 6 months.

Same with VMP though. Only free if you buy their parts. They charge $100 for nGauge revisions though.

I just switched from bama to Lund. I was emailing them questions and John n said to call his cell phone. He gave me his personal cell and has picked up and called me when I have texted him with questions. Customer service is great and car runs very smooth as opposed to the Bama tune. As far as more power I am not sure yet. It's inly been a week and poor weather here in Florida.

That's been everyone I knows experience with Lund. He's solved a lot of issues for friends of mine. As far as I'm concerned he's the best from the results I've seen.

Lund

I was thinking about Mike Rousch But he doesn't support the Ngauge and I really wanted to go with it, does VMP support the ngauge as well?
If so an the auto experience is better with them I just might go that route.
Looking for someone with experience here.
Thanks!

VMP indeed supports the NGauge, free revisions if you get their parts as well.
