Bama Tuner Advice (Sooner the Better)

Hi everyone !!!
There's a guy on Craigslist selling a Bama SCT 3 Tuner for $50. He only used it once & it's married to a 2007 Mustang GT 4.6L. My cars a 2014 5.0. Will this Tuner work on my car & is it worth the money or should I just buy a New SCT 4 ?
How do you get it transferred to a different car ? How do you load Tunes ?
Never had a Tuner but everyone says I need to get the car tuned for better performance. Let me know anything you can please. Thanks !!!

What it costs to get the tuner "unmarried" almost makes it not worth the price of just waiting for one that is already unmarried. S3s should be going for $150-200 in the used market now unmarried, and i believe ( dont hold me to this) the cost to have one of those things unmarried by SCT is $150 or so, so its not worth the extra headache to me.

it's married so it's worthless unless he can unmarry it. SCT will charge $150 for this service so, you'd be up to $200 and still need to buy a tune.

If I were you, I'd buy a tuner box (SCT x4) from a trusted tuner like VMP, Steeda or Lund. You'll get a tuner pre-loaded with quality tunes and you can look up video online on how to install the tunes. Hope you have a battery charger or jumper cables and a second vehicle. Not a good idea to just put a tune on a car supported by only its own battery power. It drops even a smidge below 12v and it'll lock up.

I've heard that so I will buy a charger. Guess I'll wait & buy the New Tuner. Thanks for the info.

Look up the nGauge, if it's something you're going to leave in your car so you can view real time data, it's the way to go. If you just want a tuner to use and store until you switch tunes, then whatever is cheaper is best.
