What's next?

So I'm new to this site so go easy. I've got a 2012 GT Kona Blue that's my DD. I drive 100 miles a day and have over 120,000 on it. I keep everything tuned up and fluids changed so I plan on keeping it for a while.

Mods are a Steeda CAI, SCT tuner (which is fairly old) and Pypes pype bomb exhaust. Plus a few minor body mods, nothing major.

I'm looking into adding a few more things(hp wise), maybe up to $1000. I don't think a super/turbo would be worth the money. Maybe a Boss 302 Intake? New In-car tuner? What do you think?

Also here's a pic I took last weekend.

Those louvers are sweet, how much did it cost to have them put in?

I wouldn't get a BM, you're probably never going to rev it that high, especially if you don't track it.

I'd get full exhaust done, full suspension, and lastly a new set of forged wheels for less rotating mass in that order if I were you.

A new tuner is just a toy really, the nGauge is a gift from God in that it's very easy to use, great functionality, and doesn't crash.

Did the windows myself. Wasn't hard at all. Just make sure to use enough glue. Had to refill it with more cause of an air leak.

Boss IM not a big deal unless you are going to go to track.

Did you get a good tune with the SCT? The SCT is just fine I would get a tune if you just got the SCT one. Bama always been awesome but MPT good also. Cat Deletes if you can car inspection wise is a big one. Pypes makes good ones and if getting a tune anyway perfect time (BAMA tunes for life is a plus for stuff like this). Lower control arms a nice mod or some new wheels. I loved my AMR for years and look great. Heavier than my current wheels but again wheel weight if not dragging it is just not that big a deal. when talking 4lbs a wheel.

You could do BAMA tune, Pypes cat deletes and new AMP wheels for about that. If going all performance. I would also look at an oil catch can if you dont have. as much as you drive I bet it will buy you more time on engine. long winded answer but here is my $1000 opinion lol.

Pypes Mustang Off-Road H-Pipe HFM24 (11-14 GT) - Free Shipping
Bama Mustang Tune Files (If You're Not a Free Tunes for Life Member) 38050 - Free Shipping
JLT Black Mustang Oil Separator JLTOSP-FMG11-B (11-16 GT; 12-13 BOSS) - Free Shipping
MMD 5” Short Mustang Antenna 383809 (10-14 All) - Free Shipping
Mustang Matte Black Coyote Style 5.0 Emblem - Free Shipping
BMR Mustang Rear Lower Control Arms with Poly Bushings - Hammertone Finish TCA019H (05-14 All) - Free Shipping
Complete Mustang Smoked Tint Kit (10-12 All) - Free Shipping
MMD Mustang Chin Spoiler 389967 (10-12 GT) - Free Shipping

Stick or auto? Stick, get a decent shifter like MGW to improve the experience and some rear suspension work like an upper control arm and/or LCAs to control the axle wrap.

Auto, a torque converter if you want to open things up or a better tune like VMP or Lund. You can use your existing tuner for this.

Headers, etc. are nice but will bust your budget. Off road H or X will stay within it but the car will be catastrophically loud and droney with Pype Bombs out back and OR exhaust up front. You'll need a tune revision if the cats go away.

Definitely get a new tune if you're just using the built in SCT stuff. AED or Lund would be the best choices for an email tune. MGW shifter will make shifting a dream if you have a manual.
These cars are definitely lacking in suspension too, so that's always a good choice. Lower control arms, panhard bar, shocks and springs... transforms the car.

It's a manual. Put the upgraded shifter bushing on it a couple weeks ago but that's no MGW! Been thinking about that.

Also the SCT tuner always has issues trying to load any new programs. I have to unplug battery and wait then reload programs multiple times. Was wanting something I could keep in the car and give real time info.

Hp tuners nGuage then...you can get a locked one from Lund if you like their tunes or an open source one from HP and pick your own tuner god. Know that not everyone supports tuning for nGuage.

Yep sounds like you want the nGauge, or at least an SCT X4. I wouldn't mess around with a sketchy tuner because if it messes up at the wrong time you have a 20-30k 3600lb brick on wheels.

The nGauge is the way to go, I chose Lund for tuning as well. I tried to contact another company, but Lund answered quicker and provided a better overall experience so that's why I went with them.

Obviously your experience may vary, doesn't hurt to shop and around and ask questions.
