Coolant leak? What engine bolt is this? With pics.

So I was just going to top it off and not check engine compartment as I thought maybe it's just the blistering summer heat but a perfectly sealed system should never have low coolant levels, right? So I took my 15000 lumen flashlight and saw this bolt with orange on it. Nice that it's orange, so it's easier to locate? I also noticed liquid on cement surface but thought it's the A/C system water. Car has 33k miles.

Anyway, what bolt is this on the engine? Thanks for any help!!

I guess I can just use threadlocker on it. Probably just leaking from the bolt.

Yeah it's hard to tell exactly where we are from the photo. Lots of real estate in that particular corner. You're probably right.

2012 V6. Had a similar problem--coolant would sometimes "pour" out and other times, not leak. Anyway, the problem was solved with a new water pump at 30000 miles.

First, a closed system will loose liquid over time. A bolt rarely is the cause of the leak, it is where the coolant accumulates and drips from making it look like what is leaking. If it is near your water pump you probably have a bad bearing in the pump causing it to leak.

But a small amount over time? Probably just due to heat exposure and evaporation?

I am unsure as to how long I have been driving below the cold-fill level because being a relatively new car, I know the coolant can last over 100k miles so I never bothered to check the level.

I cleaned the area where the leak was and topped off the coolant and no leaks so I don't when it started.
