New. I'd never buy used FI. I don't care if it had 10 miles on it. You're always going to question why the person REALLY is selling it. Just my 2 cents.

For example, a pal of mine recently bought a PTE 6466 turbo with "only dyno time" on it. I told him not to, but he didn't listen and went on and did it anyways. Blown turbo seals a week after he got it installed. Lesson learned and court adjourned.

Well, it's really up to you man. If you feel you can trust him, I don't see the harm. Just me, I never would. FI is far too important to buy used. Some things you can get away with. Exhaust, shifters, wheels. Never FI in my book.

I've bought multiple forms of FI used. Ask the right questions, protect your purchase with your paypal or credit card and have at 'er.

The F1 isn't worth the premium here though and not suitable for a street car, especially if it's one of their cog race kits. People are at or close to 1000 horse on the P2200 head unit, on 8 rib serpentine.

Both will blow the stock engine to smithereens if pushed.
