I found 2015 headlights for my 11 gt!

Hey guys, I haven't been as active on this forum as much I used to be. But I'm back now and I wanted to share these cool headlights I found online with you guys. I have had a 2011 gt with halogen housings and for the longest time wanted those sexy 13-14 hid lights. Do a quick search on eBay and find that those lights in good condition run a bout 1k dollars a piece! So I kept my eyes peeled on eBay and sure enough this company that makes aftermarket headlights came to market with 2015 style lights for 11-14 s197's. I've had them on my car for a little over a week and I can tell you that I turn more heads than I ever had. The build quality is impressive for a Chinese light, everything works great. These lights have halogen projectors, and accept h1 bulbs. I immediately modified them to be hid with a 6k bulb and man are these projectors bright. They have lo beam hi beam motor projectors just like the 13-14 oem lights. My only gripe so far is the projectors don't light the left and right side of the car as far as the oem halogens used to, but I'm coming from hid's in a halogen housing. These lights compared to the oem plain halogen are so much better. Check them out! Oh yeah and the turn signals are sequential and turn yellow when activated. Then they switch back to white. It's very cool.

Neat solution for those that bought early cars used or didn't order HIDs from the factory. How much?

Yeah, just saw those. I'm interested in them, hows the light output, visibility? I have some Morimoto bulbs and balasts. Think it would look pretty good. Great look BTW.

I don't think HIDs were standard on the 10-12 models. I think it was available as an option, but they are only standard on the 13-14 models.

Sorry my bad. What I meant is see them on a 13-14, because there's not a lot of options on the headlights for the 13-14s and none of them gets my attention.

On my 2012 mustang with the standard halogen lights . I changed out the standard H 13 bulbs to the Opt 7 Flux beam LED bulbs for $99.00 a pair , 2 year warranty. Absolutely love them , at night they look just like HIDs . But aiming them is critical as not to blind cars on low beam.

The light out put is better than the stock halogen but not as good as a h13 bi xenon in the stock halogen housing. Thanks to everyone who liked it. So far I love them, no issues and they aren't compatible with the 2013-14 because there is no harness adapter option. Hopefully this company comes out with a solution for that. But honestly if I had a 13-14 id rather keep the stock lights because they are better in every way. They also look awesome too.

Did you get the smoked lenses or just the smoked housing?

I couldn't believe in 2011 when I bought my 2012, that you could still get a jackleg halogen gas lantern on the front of one of these cars and you had to option up to get headlights that worked. I'd always spring for that myself, as you can never have too much light. Glad to see there is an option for those stuck with the low rent junk on the early cars.

Yeah I have no idea why ford took so long to realize that the mustang shouldn't be a economy car of any sort. I understand it might make the car more expensive, but it's an enthusiasts car, and to be frank the high school- college girl stereotype is enabled because of the base v6 and those low budget models.
