X pipe options

I found 2 used x pipes for a fair price and I'm trying to decide which one I should get. First one is a borla after cat clamp on x pipe, the other is a pypes off-road x pipe.... I'm currently running borla s type axlebacks with res deletes. Anyone with experience with either of these x pipes? And in your opinion which route would you go and why?

I would get rid of the cats if you can. Its a good bump up in power going to catless as far as exhaust pieces can get you

Neither. After cat x is a waste of money. The pipes exhaust stuff has issues with fitment. Buy a quality piece, like a lethal performance x pipe.

Like a broken record, I'll go ahead and say it. Why do you want an x pipe and what are your goals, specifically exhaust wise in this case, for your car?

I might be able to help with this. I just added a ford racing x pipe to my 2011 V6 mustang. Pretty easy to install, just cut and clamp just like they say.
In terms of performance gains it was pretty minor. I picked up a bit of HP after 3500 RPMs or so: not much however. Motor seems to run a little smoother at higher RPMs as well. I bought mine for $50 bucks from a guy that sold the car before he installed it so it was an ok value. Otherwise I'd be disappointed if I paid $179 for it new
One other note - it didn't make the exhaust sound any different. I'm running BBk shorty headers, factory Cats and a magnaflow street exhaust.

Lastly, although people recommend removing the cats for better performance I've talked to guys that have dyno'd that change and found very little difference. I'd think twice about removing them, especially if you're in a state that is pretty stringent about that stuff

Dyno #'s dont mean much. Would have to be same day back to back to matter and even then more hp isnt always faster. Qmile times seem, to me, a better measure. I have qmile runs before and after but not back to back. 12.18 at 115 after in 80 degree weather and before i ran 12.2x at about same speed iirc but in 45 degree weather. Many will recommend offroad if its possible. My offroad made my car louder, but I am also resonator and muffler-less
