Ride Tech or Air Lift Performance???

Anyone have a preference and why???

The forum discount is an advantage for the Air Lift Performance Kit off AM, but I can get 5% off off LMR as well

I've done a lot of research on air lift performance. Haven't checked out ride tech but guess I should now. I actually found air lift a lot lower than at AM though.

From what I've seen these are the differences.

Air Lift - 30 way adjustable
Ridetech - 26 way adjustable

Air Lift - 8 presets
Ridetech - 3 presets

Air Lift - clean looking tank
Ridetech - covered with stickers

Air Lift - rear has a bag and a shock
Ridetech - single unit that combines both

Air Lift - found it for $3052.53
Ridetech - found it for $3800.00

Hmmm....

I'll research it more later though.

Ride Tech or Air Lift Performance???

Site was shockwarehouse.com but I called AM and got a price match... And the last one in stock lol. Well she said they had one in stock. Not sure if she meant the only one but I wanted to place my order before passing out the info.

But they were happy to price match it. Reviews on that site are not the greatest so I didn't want to order from them.

Airlift! They're local to me, so I'm a bit biased. The bagged cars I've ridden in have all been Airlift. I will be bagging a Focus for a daily driver next year using Airlift. Options, pricing, and quality have been great.

The digital kit is what I'm looking at.

Same one AM lists for $3825

Nice! I checked out shockwarehouse.com, 3052 is a killer deal!

Did you just have to call AM to get the price match??

Yeah I just had to call them.

They had a warehouse shipping malfunction that I'm still working on the resolution currently though. They forgot to ship one box which was the harness, compressor, remote etc from the air management and I'm still waiting for that box to arrive.

First time I've ever not been 100% satisfied with their service. Hoping they get it fixed soon.

Dude speaking of bad luck with AM lately, Ive now received 2 driveshafts with the incorrect flange for the GT. I got the first one and went to get it installed, along with my coilovers, and they said it didnt fit, the flange bolt holes were 1/8 of an inch off. So I returned it, and got another shipped to me no problem. Went to get the 2nd one installed and same thing lol, 1/8" inch off on the flange. So the shop I was at called the DriveShaftShop, and they said they mispackaged some of the driveshafts with the incorrect flange (I think its the flange for the V6 not the GT). AM is supposed to have the correct part but they told me that the DDS is sending it to me in the next day or so??

But on a postitive note, they price matched me for the Airlift Digital Kit at the same price as shockwarehouse.

They finally shipped out the air management... Tuesday. So I should receive it tomorrow which will be an entire week after I received the partial order.

The only benefit it they ended up shipping me the 3/8" setup instead of the 1/4" system that was supposed to come with it. So my car should raise faster but it will be a little harder to run the air lines.

On a positive note. The tank that came with the system should fit at an angle in the wheel well.

Still trying to decide if I want to pull the spare and install it in there or install it under the rear deck.

The guy the shop I go to said its a little louder when you put it in the wheel well. But would charge the same price wither way I wanted it. Im getting it put under the rear trunk. I think it looks cool there anyways.

Post some pics when you get yours done.
Im still another 2 weeks from purchasing. Then probably another 2 to 4 from getting it installed

Ride Tech or Air Lift Performance???

If it goes in the wheel well then I'm using sound dampening material all over and on the underside of the cover to seal out as much sound as possible.

If you stay out of the well then where will the compressor go? On the rear deck too? The install video I watched had them install the management box and tank under the deck and compressor in the well with the factory compressor.

I'm installing this weekend.

Not a clue, I have basically zero tools here in NC so Im taking it to a shop. They only work on SVT and Mustangs, they have the sickest cars there at all time. It makes me drool everytime I go.

I probably wouldnt try it myself even if I had tools to do so. Thats a little beyond my skill set lol

I'm looking forward to the install. Shouldn't be too bad, but if I install in well then I'll have to cut off the spare tire bracket to use this tank or a pancake. As long as this one fits though, it would be pointless to switch to a steel one that weighs more and one that I have to worry if the internal sealing was properly done to prevent rust.

If I could hide it all and knew where to put the compressor that wouldn't drive me nuts then I'd leave the spare for sure.

I'm planning a possible subwoofer/amp setup and I don't want to lose all my trunk between the two so the hidden option is better for me. And the benefit of the spare gone is the subwoofer box won't be additional weight.

Despite what the shipping notice said... They shipped the 1/4" set.

Also the tank might not fit with the connectors on, going to test that today. Either way, I'm probably going to have to purchase some fittings to do this the way I want.

Otherwise it would look like this and I'm not a fan of all the stuff you could hit putting anything in the trunk.

Just went out of town with the mustang and had a large suitcase and bags, camera etc and I'd hate to have it all sliding around and break a fitting.

I've got a cargo net in my trunk that should help a little with that. But I can sacrifice my trunk for airride, I'll just use my back seat. No one ever rides back there anyway
