More 2014 mustang problems?

On the lower trunk lid, on the black part, under the top coat? resin? the black part looks like it is fading/chipping away.... No texture is felt on the surface.

Has anyone else experienced this? (PS did search and found other people having it!)

Other issues I have had, mostly with the dealer, include but are not limited too: They changed my interest rate and the bank I was going to get my loan through with out telling me, I have received a second registration fee from DMV after already getting plates and tags, CEL 6 days after buying the car, never having calls returned, etc etc. Might honestly do my best to get them to refund me for this car because its just giving me problems.
#endrant

On a different topic, if i do keep her... I am considering wrapping the hood/roof/trunk. If it happens i shall post!

Steel,

the deck lid MAY be covered by a friendly dealer, but from what you've said I doubt it will happen. As far as the bank goes unless you signed papers they can't do that. If they try the "well we couldn't get approval" just tell them you ain't interested in the car any more.

Do you know what code the check engine light is? Only once or is it still on. That could range from simple to serious. I hope it goes better. I will say from this post I doubt you'll get a refund

The dealership would be getting the car back if I found myself in your situation.

Sounds like the Mustang only has 2 problems, but your dealership is crap.

I also have the trunk lid issue, still under B2B so I'll get it replaced when I go back home.

More 2014 mustang problems?

That's what happens when you buy from a dealer.
Paint finish has been an issue on the S197 for a while. More over the II than the I.

Re the panel yes it delaminates. My dealer wouldn't cover it - out of warranty for cosmetics. I found a replacement on eBay but it still cost around 90-100 shipped.
It's hardly a deal breaker - the damn air bags are of more concern to me. Really want them fixed!

Me too. The thought of metal shards flying into my eyeballs has me on edge on the road, especially when I'm surrounded by Houston drivers.

Since you're thinking of wrapping the car....why don't you wrap the deck lid panel ?
5' x 6' piece of Gloss Black Vinyl Wrap is only $20 on EBay. I have that size piece sitting in my closet because I was going to wrap a few parts but decided to paint instead. A deck Lid panel should be an easy wrap.

nor cal, like an hour from sac

Im taking tomorrow off of work to go to DMV and the dealership to try and sort out some sort of solution for these problems.

Earlier i ran my own car fax report for the car (never got one when i bought it), and saw the car sat for like 16 months .......

WELP. I dropped off my car sunday night to be serviced at the ford dealership. On the drop off envelope I requested 3 things to be addressed. 1) no front plate bracket (cali). 2) Trunk lid paint wearing. 3) Rattle from passenger side rear

I got a call later on in the day telling me that they could only do the front plate bracket for me. They didnt hear the rattle on their test drive and requested i make another appointment to go on a test drive with a service technician to help them spot the sound. I was told that if i want the trunk lid to be replaced (cant paint it, its plastic), that i would have to talk to my salesman to have them make me a due bill. When i gone in earlier this week i told the service manager my problems and it didnt seem to be an issue then. YOLO.

Definitely considering a super charger or pro charger at this point btw. Ive seen a handful of california emissions legal ones, which is the route id have to take. If anyone has suggestions please lemme know. Perhaps there is a brand i missed
