Car overheating, smoke coming from Paxton coolant tank

Basically what the title entails, I pulled into the school parking lot this morning, threw it into reverse to get into a parking spot and then my overheat light came on and smoke started pouring out from my coolant tank for my Paxton blower. Any suggestions??

How many miles on your thermostat(s)? They do rust, and then can stick in either the open or closed positions.

Stock thermostats, been on car for about 50K miles. Are they extremely necessary when running the Paxton. I was going to buy an upgraded one the next time I dynoed my car but I haven't gotten to that point yet.

That would be my guess. I would also say that, the coolant tank they install with Paxton is actually the regular one to relocate so it isnt coolant for Paxton. Sorry if you know just trying to eliminate one thing. I replaced mine with an upgrade when did Paxton.

Are you doing the Paxtobn oil changes every 5,000 miles?

Yeah the thermostat was my first thought too but I wasn't beating the **** out of my car, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Yeah I actually just changed the oil in my head unit about 2 weeks ago

Just because the smoke was coming from the coolant tank there is still a possibility it could be a thermostat right?
