I think the lighting strips around the dash is awesome looking, cant say the same for the leds in the foot well.

There is nothing wrong at all with lighting in the footwells. It makes for a great courtesy light at night. My Grand Cherokee came from the factory with lights under the dash, plus the map, dome, rear passenger, and cargo lighting. Light is a good thing sometimes.

At some point I plan to add LEDs under the dash, and under the edge of the back seat in the Mustang. I drive a convertible, so lighting is minimal.

I may hide a courtesy light under the rear bumper, or between the rage lights to add lighting so I can see when I pop the trunk. I live in the middle of nowhere, and it's nice to know if you're about to step on a snake or in a puddle.

Courtesy lights under the door sills or doors are nice to have when the key fob is pressed also.

I love my under dash lighting that comes on when the doors are opened. I also added "mood" lighting to the foot wells. Gives off a warm glow at night. Not bright and not overpowering. Not a fan of lighting around the gauges though. Too distracting.

Yeah! I have the PP package and love the ambient lighting. What's shown on the dash there is to much for me.

The lights pictured are electroluminescent wire (EL wire). You can find it really cheap on ebay and elsewhere.
