Buying new car... need help!

Hey all,

So I am purchasing a used 2013 Mustang GT next month and I need some assistance as I've never bought a used vehicle for over $3,000 before (lol)

So basically its listed for $21,000 and ill be traveling to another state to pick it up, what exactly is the best & safest way to go about doing this?

Thanks!

get price and everything in writing before. Try for 3 keys (minimum 2) have right of refusal if it doesn't pass your inspection. If you ain't familiar with cars consider bring or paying someone who is to go over it.

Like stated, either pay someone to give it a thorough inspection (not the selling dealer/person) or take someone with you that knows cars. Get a carfax on it, see what maintenance records are available.

Just curious, whats so special about this one that you are willing to travel that far to buy it?

If the dealer is hooked up into the Ford database, they should have the complete service/warranty records on file under the vehicle’s VIN (if the previous owner got it done at a dealer). Ask them if they have that, and to send it to you, and as stated above, get the CarFax as well.

I assume you have pictures, make sure that you are a fan of the Shelby front which came out in this model, the 11 & 12 were the peak of design. Feel free to email me at shoag@mrt-direct.com or call me at the office 734-455-5807 Mustang Racing Technologies, we give free appraisals for pre-buy or sale. Thanks.

Are you purchasing the car from a dealership? Or is it a private party purchase?

I got my 2014 GT because of that front. I think it's the best-looking front this generation has.

Nah, the smiley face grilles make the car look like its happy to be there. The Shelbys are worse. 10-12 front looks pissed like it wants to kick *** and take names.

10-12 exterior with the trim painted to match the car and the 13/14 tails swapped in is the best looking car Ford has produced since the New Edge.

The 2013/14 GT and all the GT500 front grilles look like a hamburger. I hate it. Top opening is top bun, urethane in the middle is burger, bottom smiley face opening is bottom bun. Can't unsee it. If I ever get a 1st gen Coyote I will require it to be a 11/12.

My 65 2+2 had the best grill ever! Best body lines too! Wish they could bring that car back with all the new stuff stuffed in it.

Get a shell, modify it with fox chassis parts and drop a Coyote in?

I'm too old, lazy and on a fixed budget. I want someone to build it for me and then sell it to me cheap.
