Good Evening all,
I've been a long time lurker on the forum and after coming from TX2k today, I've finally decided to join. I've got a 2014 Mustang GT and currently the only mods on the car are JLT cold air intake, BBK varitune exhaust, and Bama 93 Performance tune. I've been looking at trying out a different tuner and ended up purchasing a tune from a well known tuner but had issues getting their tune to load onto my car. They worked closely with me and sent me multiple revisions but for some reason, their tune would never load and they ended up simply giving me a refund for the tune.
From that point on, I've been hesitant to do another email tune but being that my bama tune loaded right up on the car without issue, I still believe the issue lied with their tune and not my tuner. I've read lots of good things about Triangle Speed Shop which isnt too far of a drive away from me. I gave them a call and they told me that they could install a tune on my car for $250 that is the same tune I would get from a dyno tune minus being able to get dyno pulls. With my basic bolt ons, I dont really see the need for a dyno tune as of yet but Im just wanting to try someone other than Bama.
My question is does anyone have a n/a tune from Triangle Speed Shop on a very lightly modded 5.0? When I look up videos, Im mostly seeing full blown race cars as opposed to daily drivers. Im very interested as I like the idea of them installing the tune for me so I dont have to worry bout bricking the ecu in my driveway but I'd like to see feedback from anyone who went with them. I know there are others out there who are good such as VMP (who I met in person today), Lund, AED, and Mid Atlantic but I'm really looking to stay local and I've heard nothing but good things about triangle.
If anyone does have a n/a tune, how is the driveability? Does it seem to make good power? How does it run against other similarly tuned cars? My Bama tune seems to have great power down low but in the mid to higher range, it slows its pull.
