Anyone else have problems wearing a cowboy hat in their Mustang? I think I'm going to have to either remove the headrest or get something that only has a brim in front, like a baseball cap. :everett:
I'm pretty sure the cowboy hat, if it is stock and has not been modified to any great extent, is attached to the driver's side noodle (or melon if 2015 or newer) by a single 3/16" set screw located at the rear of the hat. Simply spin that out and you will be able to set the hat aside into the passenger seat.
Worked for me in my 2014. And it means you won't have to resort to a ball cap. The ball cap is not really a solution anyway because when a rap song is emitted from the radio and you twist the hat to the backwards 'gangsta' position you run into the same headrest fouling.
no, I don't have any problems with wearing a cowboy hat in my Mustang.
kinda on topic....I once watched some utility worker get into his tiny utility company car wearing a hard hat. It looked real difficult and I assume it was Co. policy they had to wear hard hats at all times.
