2.3l bore kits

Does any one know how far you can bore and stroke it out to and if a better head and cam Are available thanks

I was thinking about doing a 351 408 but is like 10000 to do it the right way

Why would you want it to be a 408? Why not a 302 to a 331 or ever a 351 to a 383.

Not always the case. I could have a 331 and still have a better dyno pull. Lol it's not always about cubic inches for powers. Many things come into play.

I once had a 93 notch 2.3l and wanted a 302 Cleveland swap. (off topic)

Yea true this is Mt third fourth mustang first two where fox gt and then a 2001 gt steeda and now this one I picked it up for 1500 nothing wrong with it just one problem its a four cylinder lol I have heard a lot of good about the 408

Yea I want to make it street and strip because it's no fun if you can't take it out cruzin and put those dicks with tuners to shame lol

I'm not a 100% but I think the biggest a 2.3 can go is 2.8. Thats poked & stroked. I think just bore is 2.5.

i disagree that more cubes isnt better. i am not saying that you cant make a smaller cubed engine steonger. but there is definitly no replacment for cubes.

now you can make a little bit of power out of those little 4 cylinders. but the best way to do it is a turbo. throw a ranger cam in there, a nice valve job. them poke and stroke it. you could make decent power out of it. but if you decide to go power adder i wouldnt poke and stroke to the max so you can keep your cylinder walls nice and strong.

i personally always wanted to do a strong little 4 banger that could keep up with v8s. not to many of them can. could you imagine the look on a camaro fuys face when your 4 banger beats him. lol

So what ranger motor should I take the cam from the 2.3 or 2.8 and what's the ratio difference between them
