I don't know how cheap you're wanting or if this it what you're looking for but Ford racing has them the cheapest one is a hair under $4,000 :/.and needs intake and distributor and they go up in price from the hope this helps

No junk yards have any Lincoln mark VII's or 86-93 stangs or thunderbirds? Have you tried Craigslist? I'm always finding motors on there.

I think the 86 has clearance problems if you ever want to upgrade the cam. Is that correct? I do Know the 89 blocks are pretty good I ran the heck out of mine and it was still running strong when I replaced it with a 306 setup.

ive never heard that but it could be true.

also if you are looking for a wreck and wanting to keep the fuel injection, which is a good idea.i would look for a 89 and up because they have MAF.if you plan on modding , you will want MAF over speed density.

I would look for a 87-93 5.0 engine on Craigslist to be honest, that's your best bet. If you could find a donor car that would be your best bet. You will need a computer, engine frame mount. Relocate your break lines I believe. Plus you want to upgrade the rear end. Like I said if you could find a rotted out v8 fox under 2 grand that would be your best bet. Other than that you better off looking for a factory v8 because you'll just be spending to much money converting. Also stick to mass air flow.
