K & n is it jus the filter nd crome tube?

I believe that it is and I also heard that k&n filters will etch your cylinder walls

The oil they use in the filter can get into you're cylinder and leave scratches and do other damage, but I know where you can get one that won't

WTF?? Who in the hell told you that? true they use oil in there filters but they wont damage your engine. I have used KN Filters on many cars for over a decade and have no issues with them what so ever.
