1991 lx mustang 2.3 liter

Having problems with positive battery cable over heating after replacing it. What could be the problem???

Check and clean the ground wire.

I replaced the wire and it burnt again. There is also a short black wire that goes to the selinoid that i think goes to the positive but when i connected it the wire got hot and i heard the car trying to start
