need help with my 1989 2.3l mustang ac

my AC is not working in my 89 2.3l mustang, i was wondering if i could use a AC compressor from a 5.0 on my 4 cylinder without there being any problems? My AC runs on R12 if that makes any diffrence.

It should work fine, not sure tho. Could it be the clutch on the ac compressor?

You should be able to jump the switch on top of the canister mounted on the firewall , if you jump it right and it is the clutch it will engage the clutch

Compressors are not interchangeable. They mount totally different.
