1989 mustang 2.3l upgrade camshaft

I have a 1989 mustang 2.3l i'm looking into upgrading the camshaft i heard you can use a camshaft from a ford ranger from what years can i use the camshaft for my mustang? If i upgrade my camshaft is there any other upgrades i have to do?

I think if u use a ranger 2.5 crank it makes ur car a 2.5 not for sure

If you use the 2.5 ranger cam it doesn't make your 2.3 a 2.5 you would have to have it bored out , also depends what year mustang you have because I believe the 90-93 have the same cam ad the 2.3 ranger

Nope their the same block but the crank is bigger and it makes the piston cover more area=more cubic inches
