84 was the first of the SVO's.People were always scared of that turbo Pinto motor that they had plus a V8 GT was about $5000 cheaper in 84.I would say the SVO will be a sleeper collectible but it will be awhile b4 they are worth serious cash.Make sure you buy up any parts that you can while they are still available.Such a low production makes it hard for companies to make restoration parts

Kelly Blue is pretty close to the correct cost. However it does not take in to consideration the true condition of the car. I would contact the mustang clubs in your area and see what they would tell you about it and what they have seen them go for. The problem is the early 80's line of mustangs are not wanted by many. So that does affect the cost. Contact the clubs in your area. They will help you with selling it if you really want to sell it.

they are really starting catch on, and they can go for anywheres from $1000 for a beater to 15k for a low mileage beauty.

Under 50k miles is worth close to 10k, but I'm have trouble getting 4k out of my daily driver and it has a new $3k motor

There's always 3 or 4 on ebay.com, go by what they are selling for on Ebay, not Kelly's,

Kelly's is not that accurate on collectibles
