3.73 gears on my 5.0

Hey guys I'm lookin to put 3.73 gears in my stock 5.0. Will it make that much of a difference?? Will it be noticeable?

Oh yes it will pull harder. You will need a tuner to reset your speedo afterwards too.
I just did 3:73s with an LSD and a night and day difference.

Okay good to know! That's my next upgrade. And also wanna put the BAMA chip on it. Do you know anything about that? Or how good it may be?

Are you talking bout a tuner or LSD?

Other noticeable gains besides gears will be subframe connectors and rear lower control arms. This will for sure help your launch.

It depends on what direction your going with your car.

It's a tuner I'm pretty sure, it has 3 settings

This car is not a drag car, just a weekend driver that I want to go out and be able to play around with

If you get gears you will need a new speedo gear to accommodate the new gears so your speedo works properly. As for the chip, you really don't need it. The fox body computer is pretty good at adapting to changes. The only time you really need a tune is if you end up going towards forced induction (super charger, turbo)
