7.5 rear end experts help!!

Alright guys I haven't been on this for a while but I was gonna ask u rear end experts about the 7.5 rear end. I have a 2.3 na which u all already know but I swapped the Trac loc differential from the svo over to the n/a. And I homemade the c clips meanwhile to work but my axles move side to side more then its suppose to and I dont like it. I heard about the svos having a special c clip for their auburn style diff. I can't find a pic or website to see And order that special c clip
. if anyone can help it would be great thanks
And none of those lame comments of "get an 8.8 instead"

Just wondering about c-clips. Do one or both of your clips move any (are they loose) after you completed the project.

I just replaced an axle, bearings and seals on both sides, s-spring, and both c-clips in my 8.8. My s-spring and the left side clip were broken.

My right side clip is nice and snug in its groove. But, The left side clip is loose and can spin under its own weight in the groove. I don't believe it can fall out of the groove, but I'm not sure.

Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Both my axles have a tiny little bit of play in and out put its like less then 1/8 th. Gap . And no they won't fall out u got crosshaft there . But if u got too much play u need better c clips . I homemade my old c clip and made it work in it but axles moved a lot and when u drove ur drum would sweak cause of it going in and out. If ur not sure ur safe with it, don't do burnouts, drifts, etc . I took it easy till I found the right c clips . Had a diff shop get em for me from their junkyard guy .

Ok. 1/8" axle play is .125" and I have a maximum of .039" play if i add the c-clip groove gap and the .010" between the axle and center pin. So, I should be ok. Do you know the thickness of your new c-clip? Thanks.

Note: I have had a c-clip to fall out. It may have happened when the s-spring broke. I'm being real cautious right now.
