1989 mustang lx 2.3 electric fan

My electric fan won't turn on I check all of the wiring fuses and wired the fan directly to the battery to make sure it works and it did I replaced the cooling fan temperature switch and the coolent temperature sensor as well the fan won't come on unless I turn on the ac and once the clutch to the ac kick in the fan will turn off on its own once it reached the temperature were it normally turns off unless I need to still replace the temperature sending unit I doubt it that though but any help will be much appreciated and thanks in advance

Unless the cooling fan temperature switch is bad?

From what I read in my Haynes manual, the fan only with the a/c on, I don't get why it would be that way.

My a/c went out on my 93 and the fan stopped working at that point so I finally just wired a switch to the fan so I can turn it on.

Good luck

I totally understand wanting to fix it the right way.

If you find that they DO share the same relay please let me know which it is.
