1989 Mustang oil pump / gauge

my 1989 Mustang 2.3 liter oil pressure gauge or oil pump is acting funny when I'm driving on the freeway 60 miles an hour my gauges is about almost to the bottom and sometimes it's in the middle but most of the time it's at the bottom about the last white line or does that mean my oil pressure pump is going out or could it be the cluster if I'm at a stop and I hold the clutch in the pressure gauge reads half ways most of the time or will be close to half I thank you in advance for the help I think it's normal cuz when I hold in the clutch it will go to the middle if not almost to the middle but I'm not sure

1989 Mustang oil pump / gauge

My oil pressure gauge reads pretty constant just above half way. I would say either the sensor or pump is bad. If it was just low on oil it would bottom out at an idle and normal while driving. But that's my opinion. Hope this helps.
