2015 ecoboost goes 12.56

Check out this vid. Eco would have gone quicker with a driver mod lol. He loves the limiter for some reason.

It was funny that it pulled a tire on launch at 2:05, wasn't expecting that.

However, none of those cars had a full interior. They just had the dash, center console, door panels and a light weight carbon fiber racing seat. No carpet, no rear seat, no passenger seat, no seat-belt mounts, nothing... the cars were basically gutted. Watch from 2:18 - 2:20 and at 3:22.

None of their times seem particularly impressive, IMO.

Yeah, totally agree with you bro and besides being gutted didn't the ecoboost have full slicks. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that ecoboost isn't quick but if I were to guess more like 13.7 will be a common 1/4 mile time from factory.

How many owners out there buying their new 29k ecoboost 4 banger is gonna gut the entire car and drive slicks on the way to Wal-Mart. ha ha ha. I can't wait to see that 4 banger pull from like a 40 mph roll till 90 mph stock and then with a tune and CAI. I wonder if they will make long tube headers for the 4 banger?

I heard 13.9 was gonna be the qtr mile I don't see anything better seeing as the 11/14 v6 is 14.2. 305 hp vs 315

You could be totally right on that. I was maybe thinking with the 4 banger having like 45 more torque it would have some better low end power and shoot off line a bit quicker than the 11-14 V6's. I'm not sure how much more power a tune and CAI will bring over a tune and CAI of 11-14 V6's.

It was on slicks and it was gutted.

Car and driver tested them and these are their results...

The PP EB is only running 0 - 60 in 5.2 and 0 - 100 in 14.4 seconds, with a 13.9 @ 98 mph.

The 2014 V6 ran a 0 - 60 in 5.2, 0 - 100 in 13.4, with a 13.9 @ 102.

Also, long tubes and turbos don't mix.

Wow, so the 14 V6 ran 1 second faster 0-100 mph over the 4 banger turbo. Wow. That's very interesting. Perhaps the 4 banger is best when modding it. I'm not even sure what mods you use with a turbo. My buddy had a grand national turbo but said it came with long tube headers from the factory.

Would you remove cats and leave the stock manifold on with the turbo. Turbo is all new to me.

Yeah but with all the mods I don't see great future for these cars. What I mean is I'm running faster naturally aspirated they have a turbo to keep up so when we turbošŸ˜„ or superchargešŸ˜ƒ

We know that a CAI/full exhaust/tune 3.7 gains around 30 whp over stock (260 stock, 290 full bolt ons).

The EB 2.3 will likely gain over double that with similar mods (CAI or filter, turbo back exhaust, up pipe and tune with increased boost). I would guess that an EB with those mods would probably put down somewhere around 340 - 360 whp, maybe 380 - 400 whp on E85.

These will be one hell of a fun little car with basic mods, it's just that stock they perform as well as the 3.7 in a 2011 - 2014.

If I were going to buy a 2015+, I would buy the EB and not even consider the 5.0.

Don't get me wrong it's a nice car but price tag vs mod prices in pretty sure 11 /14 v6 can make more power less money I'd like to figure out exact numbers though but if at 25000 i can get a supercharger plus in stall and that should keep me under 25000 still with ?450hp
