Man, it really comes down to your personal preference. I'm bias to the new 5.0 but the Cobra is a mean machine! They are both quick but have completely different stylings. I'd image the Cobra gets Mad Respect on the streets. Being that the Cobra is 8 years old, you might have more mechanical failure but if you are inclined enough to repair it yourself then that won't be an issue. Yup, I turned out to be no help... LOL!

Very valid point! Something else to consider, it's been 16 years since the 5.0 was in a mustang. As the brochure says, "The Return of the Legendary Thunder" That in itself gives the new mustang some rarity for the future. The 2011 GT is the first sign of Ford giving the balls back to a great American muscle car.

Not to mention they took an intelagent aproch to the weight issues facing todays cars and the overall delivery of the power in the torque band is also a beautiful thing i really do love the style of the 2011/12 mustang and the body kits shaker hoods the list goes on. Pls dont get me wrong an 03/04 termanator would be for lack of a better word awsome! I just think in this case going new being its the first yr/s of the "5.0 rebirth" may be worth something if moded taste fully (speaking of a gt of course i dont think i would mod a boss and if i went shelby it would have to be the super snake so as is of course)

Re: Need help!

first decide if you want warranty, and more reliability with a newer vehicle, or the style etc

then you can decide if you want cheaper power or if you dont mind voiding a new car warranty etc... and 03/04 cobra will be far cheaper, another way to look at it.

Hands down Termi. Coyote engines are cool and all.. But '03-'04 cobras are just a work of art. Especially if you can find one that has been taken care of(which isn't hard since termi owners cherish what they have).

The new Shelby's are just dumbed down on how much power they "could" get because of emissions and crap the older cars were "opened up" if u know what I mean
