I was hoping for some input. I bought a 2009 Shelby GT500KR for $67,000. It has 167 original miles and the car is in perfect condition. I feel like I did good but a friend of mine that's a Mercedes dealer says its worth 50k. I have all the documents that show it is a true KR. Signed by Carroll Shelby. What do y'all think?
The KR is an odd one just like Roush and Saleen as I am not sure the VIN references the KR specifically, even though you have all the paperwork anyone interested in buying without cash in hand will have to jump through all the bank hoops and banks will see it as a normal GT500 and base value off of that.
It may have its on unique (ford) VIN but I am just not sure.

Well, that's not necessarily true.
The original bank on this vehicle was Ford Motor Credit. We have his contract with them where he financed it. He financed $114,000 through Ford.

true, when new you can finance most anything. If the VIN is not specific to the KR it may be hard to refinance it... it just all depends on the bank and how they operate.
I know the Shelby GT's that were made by shelby directly had issues with the VIN now showing it was anything else than a normal GT. My friend had an issue selling his due to this~
