Considering selling the Mach 1 ???

as the tittle says
I barely drive it anymore , just in the summer , and the last 2 years I may have put 1500 miles total on her ...
I used to have a house but lost it 6 years ago when me and the wife split up ..
so I keep it over my friends house ,witch is no problem but sometimes I feel like its a burden ? I bought her new in April of 2003 so she's 9 years old this month !!! I never thought I'd entertain the thought of selling her ........
Any thoughts ??

sometimes we all lose interest in the hobby, but there will come a time down the road you regret it if you sell it just part of the choice.

If its the right choice then do it. But usually I would say, unless you need the money or have plans for something else, your gonna miss it. I wouldn't sell my mach 1 for less than 18k because there's what its worth to me. Market value (in canada) says 10-13 but I just love the car too much. Had a drag against a bolt on s197gt with 4.30s and won and he wanted to know how many lbs of boost I was making haha. Its fun to break hearts!

Im also having a hard time figuring out if i should sell my mustang gt.....its automatic and i really want a 5 speed.....i entertained the thought of doing a 5 speed swap but that is 3,000 dollars.....the reason why it is so hard to let it go is because i already put in 4,000 in performance and exterior and have it exactly how i want it.....except its just not a stick shift ......what should i do???

ya I would only sell it if I got what I wanted ( prob in the $16-18 range ) ,,,, just saw a sweet red one on ebay with 32,000 miles only go for $13,700

Yeah those low mileage mach 1's go for good money, but I feel like if I had a mach 1 I would keep her unless it was strictly financial.

Re: Considering selling the Mach 1 ???

Keep it. I love the 99-04 body style...the bullit and mach 1 editions were spectacular. I think that body style will be an iconic one in a few decades. Just hang on to it! It could be your retirement package. As much as it seems the car hobby is dying...it could change some day.

I sure wouldn't do it. You will defiantly regret it later on. I won't let go of mine until I'm strapped for cash. Even then I wouldn't want to do it.

Re: Considering selling the Mach 1 ???

I bought a 1992 black GT w/5spd brand new off the lot and sold it after 13 months. I still regret that to this day. Nothing like owning an unmolested Mustang!

You're gonna regret it. I sold my first car after having it for 12 years. I needed the money at the time. The guy knew how much it meant to me, so 18 months later he wasn't surprised that I wanted it back. I ended up paying more to get it back then I originally sold it for. It had sentimental value! I lost my virginity in that car and took so many others! :Headbang:
