Haha.
I bought it because it has almost all of the parts to finish the restoration on my car.Except for that stupid drivers side mud flap... That thing is going to drive me nuts until I find one!
I went to look at this car specifically for the mud flap and as I was driving up to the place where it was I could see from a half a block away that it was missing. All of the other Bullitt specific parts were there though.
There are a bunch of little interior pieces that I needed and Mach 460 components so I can get my slap back...

I was a day late on scoring a Cobra front bumper... Then I'm SURE we could have made a deal! Lol

You know? I think that it's all about the hunt for me...

I actually have decided against the 01 bumper. Looks nice, but I want the front end to look pretty low and with a cowl hood, for a nice aggressive look with the coilovers. The 01 Cobra bumper doesn't really sit that low, angles up actually. So I'll probably go 03 Cobra bumper.

Thanks!
Lol.
I was just going to part it out but, after looking it over for a few days...

I'M GOING TO FIX #2117!!!!!

Aside from the body work... and the blown head gasket... it really isn't in much worse shape than 3393 was when I bought it.
I was just about to redo the brand new front suspension on 3393, and I am in the process of building a new engine anyway, so I may as well just put those pieces into 2117 and that will be my new "cone smasher".
2117 needs both of the bumper covers, a hood, a tail light... and the giant dent removed.
I don't know if the quarter panel can be saved or if a replacement will need to be welded on.
The interior is about the same as my car was when I bought it, in some ways a little better maybe.
All of the best original parts will still go onto 3393.
2117 still seems to have some life in it so, unless something cost prohibitive comes up, I'm going to try to save it...

So this is the latest.... Rear seats and spare removed. Probably 65 pounds. I see a tiny but more wheel gap and actually a noticeable difference driving around with less weight. Now I just need to take weight off the front to balance it out.

Nice find!
That's a beautiful example of a Bullitt.
Are you planning on modding it or are you just going to leave it stock and enjoy it?

No. None of us were able to attend and it is a shame because there are three of us on here that live within 100 miles of San Francisco.
Hopefully, they will have another event and we can mob it with Mustang Evolution Bullitts...

Ouch!
That would be a definite project about like the one that I recently bought. I see that the drivers side mudflap is missing on that car as well.
If you can get it cheap enough though, that car looks like it's repairable.
Does it have a clean title?

Thanks! Well I've already put a K&N cai on it. And I'm thinking about an exhaust system on it. but other than that, probably keep it stock. I don't wanna do too much to where it's not even a bullitt anymore lol

I hear you!
I have two True Blue Bullitts. The first one that I bought was in decent shape so I, basically, just restored it to factory specs. The second one has some body damage and a blown head gasket, so I'm building a new engine for it and I'm setting up the suspension for autocross. I was going to do all of that to the first car but I'm kind of a purist when it comes to rare cars. I was struggling with the thought of tearing the completely rebuilt suspension apart to redo it for autocross. I'm not going to go crazy with the second car because class rules don't allow it but I do plan on modding it as much as is allowed.

Just mod it and have fun with it!! I never go to an Autocross wanting to win. I just go to have fun and see how I compare to other cars of higher "class" and cornering ability.

Also what kind of exhaust would y'all recommend. I know, it's a super broad question cause there are so many. And I've listened to basically all of them on YouTube. I've always wanted the classic flowmaster 40's cause there's just nothing like that sound. But I just recently found out about the borla atak. And damn that exhaust is NASTY! So I'm torn between the two

I think that I'm probably the only one on here who has not registered my car on IMBOC. I'll get around to registering both of them one of these days.

So how was the event? Were there a lot of cars in attendance? Who was the surprise guest that they were talking about?

Since there isn't any horsepower to be gained from swapping mufflers (Especially on our cars!) the standard answer is to get the mufflers that sound best to you.
One of my cars has the original mufflers and the other has Flowmasters. The Flows do sound pretty good but I'm not sure that I'd like them so much after a long drive. I like the OEM mufflers as well, they just don't sound as mean.
I wouldn't get rid of your stock mufflers when you swap exhaust. Keep them because I don't think that they're available anymore. They are one of the Bullitt specific parts that only came on the Bullitts.
I was actually kind of disappointed that they were missing from the second car that I purchased.
