The event(s) were awesome, The car shows, the cruises, being in the mayors office for the proclamation of Bullitt day as an official holiday in San Fransisco, and of course the police escorted (mostly) cruise through the chase route through Down Town San Fran, which they let us drive like complete idiots, speeding, drifting, burn outs, and a few even caught air.

Here is a video I took and posted of the guests in the mayors office, they all also joined us for a dinner party afterwards.

2013 45th Anniversary Bullitt Event Slideshow by papaboy76 | Photobucket

There we are, I was alone at the event (no co-pilot) so I was only able to take pics when I wasn't driving. But that's all the pictures I took.

Pictures 47/48 contain all the notable guests, which sadly now I can't remember all of them. But far right is Mr. Frank Puccini one of the two actual police officers in the movie along side Steve Mcqueen, and a close personal friend of Steves as well. Next to him is Frank's oldest son who is now a fire chief and knew Steve when he was younger when Steve would visit their home for dinner during the filming of the movie Bullitt. Over to the man in the dark blue blazer, he is the son of the other officer who passed away again I can't remember his name. Next to him is Chad McQueen, son of Steve McQueen. And for the life of me, I can't remember who the others are.

Thank you so much for posting all of this Papaboy!
This is perfect for this thread!

I kind of regret asking about it now though...
They let you do burnouts and drifting in the city?!?
-sigh-
I really blew it by not making a point of attending.
That's probably the ultimate event if your a Bullitt guy.
Well, hopefully, they'll have a 50 year anniversary celebration.

Oh, here is the site for the group that puts on Bullitt stuff all over the country. They did all the event planning for the 45th.

It's a shame too... it would be cool if there was an active forum for Bullitt owners.

I'm on a few pages on Facebook where its just about Bullitts and they seem pretty active there. Its just more of a hassle on forums.

Ok I gotcha! And yea I'm definitely going to hold onto the stock one. I want to hold on to every original part on the parts that I do swap.

And yea it's strange, it seems that I'm starting to break these stock mufflers in and they're starting to sound louder and more aggressive 👍

Nice car!

Lol.
I didn't realize that you guys are from the Bay Area.
It just so happens that a few of us are meeting in Danville TOMORROW! I know it's short notice but we're meeting at the Blackhawk Automobile Museum at 1pm. Saturday, Sept 27.

Is that a bolt-on spoiler or part of the trunklid? It looks quite nice.
