Future Mach 1

I've always loved the New Edge Mach 1's and I'm planning in getting one in the future. Which year would be better? 03 or 04? 04 has the anniversary badges and different colors available but that's it. I'm planning on selling my '01 V6, my '66 straight 6 and my '97 V6 with a New Edge motor with only 20K miles on it. Would that roughly get me enough to buy a good Mach 1?

I decent average price for Mach1 are about 18-20k... I don`t think so there`s a lot of difference between 03 and 04... Personnally, if i can have the chance to pick up one, i will choose the 04, because it`s the 40th edition. Otherwise, pretty sure engine and drivetrain are the exact same. Your better to save up a little, i don`t think so if your selling the 3 cars, you gonna have enough for the mach1... But the goal is not that hard to reach! Don`t give up!

Thanks, in my area, manual Mach 1's with around 80K miles go for around 11K and they are in beautiful shape. The cheapest one I've seen was $5900 automatic. Aftermarket wheels, and paint was chipped and faded. The three cars will roughly get me around 10K hopefully. And when I get my taxes it will help out alot so the goal will hopefully be met once I finish painting my '66

Honestly the main difference is just different color head gauges, color choices, badges and a 5HP gain. Nothing significant but can be a 1-2k difference in price but I will say, since I've been looking for the perfect mach1 for quite some time 04's have a tendency to have much less miles for whatever reason and are in better shape all around. I don't know if that's just a coincidence but I've definitely only seen about 2 above average 03 mach 1's and 99% of the 04's are practically perfect

As long as the 03 has the updated heads there really is no difference. Well... if you are getting an auto you might prefer an 04 because it gets the updated 4r75w vs the 4r70w in the 03. However, either transmission can easily take more power than the stock rods can. The 75w is nice if you ever want to drop a forged motor in though you don't have to worry so much. Then again, most Machs are 5 spds and they ALL get the 3650 trans for that.
