My dad got it for me somewhere it will be here in a day or 2 and if it goes good ill give you the info of the company

Ok. Thanks. Ive never had a problem with Summit but its been a few years since I've bought anything from them. What about the heads? Was there a thick layer of carbon build-up on the chambers? 1/32 inch? 1/64? Less? More? I'm interested because I've seen carbon cause, actualy pre-ignition rather than detonation. So what do you think? Was the carbon thick enough that it might have stayed lit (red hot) in between strokes? I'm wondering if it's worth it to, at some point, pull the heads off and clean the chambers. And of course, use that as an opportunity to do all the porting and everything else.

The heads are at the machine shop because I barely hit the valve seat while porting so I'm getting a valve job

Hmmm. Ok. Thanks. Guess I'll look elsewhere for my pinging problem. It's really not that bad. Bullitt1075 says his car does the same thing but he has a tune and I'm stock. Let me know how the stereo works out. Thanks.

Cool! Its good to see that engine going back together. Thanks for the info on the stereo. Could you let me know how it works when you get it hooked up? Specifically, the CD player. Thanks again...

Wow! Thats great! I looked around some for a unit like that but no luck. I guess that I didn't try hard enough. Excellent about the engine. That thing is going together pretty quickly. Did you get the heads back yet?
