Mach 1 question

So I'm shopping for a mach 1. And the one description I heard said SOHC. and all the research I've done said all mach 1's have DOHC. Could this be the dealer/description mistake?

You are correct all Machs are 4vs with DOHC. It could be the dealers mistake. The engine should have an R code in the vin. If it has the Shaker System, Mach 1 interior. And the engine looks like a 4v then it should be ok. Go check it out and look at the title.

When lifting the hood. What are somethings to look for to know if it's DOHC? All I know is that the 04s have bare aluminum valve and plug covers.

dealerships make little mistakes like that all the damn time but do what the guys said if you can get the vin # and just double check it

I'm sure it's just a minor mistake. Just make sure you double check to be safe. Check to make sure it's a correct color and just check everything. It would suck to spend all that money to have a Mach 1 2v clone lol.

I read online that sometimes carfax considers mach 1s GTs. So I'm hoping it's jst a mistake. I'm gonna be looking into it

A 4v will have massive heads compared to a 2v, easiest way to tell.

Look at the engine though. If it has huge heads it's a 4v.

I'm not an expert on the Mach 1, but didn't they all come with black spoilers and the hood stripe? Those wheels look like regular GT wheels as well. Same ones I had on my 03. I always wanted a set of Mach wheels for it

Looks like a Mach 1. But description looks wrong . Also price looks good to. Double check with dealer hopefully it's just a mistake on their part.

yes they came with a black spoiler, the hood stripe could've been taken off. And those are bullitt wheels, but the brakes fill them in like cobra, mach brakes

Why get a mach and make it look like a gt.. It's got the Eleanor window louvers on it as well. Looks odd to me.
