tranny problem

I have a 04 mach 1 with stock tranny (MGW short throw , aftermarket clutch, aftermarket clutch cable and quad ) a while back a squilling nose came from tranny but only when the clutch wasn't engaged I thought it was the throw out barring but my michanic said it wasn't he couldent hear any noise from the TB as time went on it became louder so I took it in and they adjusted my clutch the noise went away for a bit but now it's back and it's constant, no never goes away I'm also hearing a humming noise. Any one know whata wrong ???it's very annoying the car drives fine ,goes through gears okay sometime it's a little notchy (bummpy) ,clutch feels fine

Sounds like your mechanic is an idiot. Do the clutch free-play mod that Scotty did a write-up on, it should fix the squealing noise.

I haven't done it but plenty of guys on here have done it successfully. How long have you had that clutch in? And what brand TOB did you put in?

I never put the clutch in it was in the car when I bought it , it looks blue and I'm guessing it's the TOB that comes with the kit but the TOB I bought is ford racing

OK. Most aftermarket TOBs wear out pretty fast for some reason. It's quite possible that your TOB is bad and the free play mod won't fix it.
