Mach 1 Exhaust set ups

I've got an 04 Mach 1 5spd. Thinking about doing MAC ceramic LT's, o/r H-pipe ( love the muscle car sound ) and Flowmaster super 10's.

What do y'all have or what are y'all gonna do?

MAC lt's, o/r Prochamer, and assuming the side exhaust idea goes thru, dunno what is gonna be at the end of it...

Heard a MAC setup in the flesh one day and instantly loved it. Utoob doesn't do it justice

Basically, im doing what you're doing lmao. Right now im spending theoretical dollars, but reality will catch up to fantasy soon enuff (crosses fingers and wishes time jumps forward a few months)...

Im hoping doing this setup I can just do a 90° turn out of the flows and do the side exit Roush tips. Idk if it'll be that easy but I hope so.

The BBK longtubes have that kink in all their modular longtube headers. Instead of redesigning that primary to be the hell out of the way like kooks or SLP or stainless works they just put that **** in there.

Also, buyer beware on MAC longtubes. Their coating is... well lets just say its about the most half assed ceramic coating you can get. I have had professionally coated ceramic headers before and had a local shop hit/coat headers for me. The MAC stuff is not a good quality at all. IMHO, get the SLP Longtubes. They are stainless, they come coated with a high quality coating and the slip connection with their matching mid pipe is much better than a ball/socket.

Also use a dead soft aluminum header gasket when you do the headers. I need to install a set on mine to get rid of a damn exhaust tick because the PO of my car did not use them when he put the shorties on.

Didn't think about a specific gasket to use thanks Scotty. I heard the same thing about the MAC headers a few ppl I talked to wrapped the headers before install and havent had a problem I was planning on doing the same no matter what brand or kind I got to help out with heat and protection.

I actully would recommend against wrapping headers. Moisture can get under the wrap and stay under the wrap which will cause corrosion even on higher quality setups. A properly ceramic'd stainless header does not need wrap. I had a set of FRPP ceramic shorties on my Cobra for 7 years with nothing else and they looked near new when I removed them.

Tryin ti figure out if a 94-98 gt off road x-pipe will fit stock mach 1 maifolds. Don't care about cat back due to custom side exit set i plan on doing.

It will fit the headers, but the catback won't meet up to the midpipe. Get a proper 99-04 gt midpipe... I really recommend the jba offroad H if you can be swayed from the X. Great quality, sound and the fitment was perfect... And low profile.

I plan on later on gettin MAC LT's and off road H-pipe. But someone is selling what looks like BBK off road X-pipe for $ 50 either way it's in great condition. And like I said I'm doing custom side exit so I'm not worried about cat back. But thanks for the info I'll look into JBA.

BBK midpipe will not mate to the MAC headers. I mean a shop can do some fabbing to make it work but if you are going to try to do it in your driveway you'll need some welding skills.

I know the BBK wont fit that MAC LT's that's why when I do the MAC LT's i'm gonna get the MAC short off road H-pipe. The X was just gonna be temporary. But I think it might be to loud seeing as how I was gonna do off road X-pipe and no mufflers and side exit.

idk I might just do catback delete keep the stock catted h-pipe with custom side exit and no mufflers. Seen a few clips where ppl have done muffler deletes and they sound pretty good.

The new app sucks and is much harder to use than it was before the update which might have something to do with it. I used to be able to upload from my Bionic and the S3 is a much more capable phone. Could be your carrier is **** too, I feel bad for you if you have Sprint and aren't one of the 2 ppl in the country covered by Sprint LTE.
