Potential mach 1

The 8th digit in the vin # should be an R if it isn't then it isn't a Mach 1...
Any engine and interior pics?

Do you know why it was salvaged; wrecked, flooded, etc? That would give a better idea of things to look for. Also keep in mind that to most people a salvaged title will reduce the value close to 50%. And if you ever want to sell a lot of people wont even consider them so it limits the potential buyer pool as well.

That would be the first things I would find out. Depending on the damaged sometimes it doesn't take much to salvage a title. Personally I'd it was flood damage I would stay away. Sometimes it can take a while but those can have electrical issues down the road. Also so you know show long it's been since the damage?

I agree with above posts, the reason for the salvage title is key. If it's flood damage don't even consider. Any type of collision would definitely merit a thorough inspection for frame tweaks etc.

Honestly, I would wait for a clean title car. I was tempted to pick up a rebuilt when I was looking but opted to wait. Hell, not a week later I found this one, got it for $10k with 58k miles, solid car with a clean title. So there are definitely deals out there.

What are they asking for it, how many miles, and is it stock motor or a rebuilt?

I'm sure it sucks to some degree, but don't get disheartened, there are plenty of other cars out there. Patience and research is key...
