The shaker hood scoop is still one of my favorite additions to any car ever.
I had one of those professionally installed on my Type N/W 1970 Torino, and remember watching the engine shake and move around at idle, start up and power shifting.........TOO much fun!
Nice Mach 1 by the way.......

Nice! First mods should be all fluids in the car, plugs, COP rebuild and a shifter if its a stick. If its an auto those things NEED a tune and at that point they become the best factory 1/4 mile versions of all the 94-04s.

Post moar pics Super!

I got gen5s, mmd 551c's, and some little things waiting for me at my house, but other than those it will either be a sss terminator catback, springs or coilovers, a stage 3 roush bumper, or a terminator rear bumper.

Nice. The shaved rear Terminator bumpers look sick, especially with the ducktail lid. Not sure if you had gears in your other Mach but I'd highly recommend 4.10's or 4.30's if you plan on staying N/A for a while.

The 02-04 cars have a .62 overdrive. Go up to a 26.5 or 27" tire out back and some 4.30s and shift at 7k. Highway RPM will not be bad with that setup either. 4Vs love to rev.

Don't fear the gear man! I have 4.10's in mine now and I'm running maybe 300 rpms higher going 60 in 5th. Gas mileage will not suffer, even if you daily your car.

3.55 to 3.73... Meh. I wouldn't unless you are diy and only have to pay for the wear items.

Looks awesome. There is a 04 DSG Mach 1 that has been taunting me for months at a local dealer since like June last spring. Its still there now, sitting being unappreciated. It has 67k miles, all bolt ons including cams, tuned, all premium parts, aftermarket subframes welded in, LCAs not sure which ones, lowered about 2", tinted windows, and a nice set of wheels/tires. They started at $15,500 and now its listed at $11,500. I have been in contact with them when I was living a pipe dream this past fall and he said he would take $10,800 and that was very firm. Its really, really clean. Lately its still lingering in my thoughts like a girl you never asked out, what if? If I sell both of mine I can get it, but thats such a hassle and my 96 I dont want to part with for sentimental reasons and I will be giving it to my son in 8 yrs when hes 16. There will always be another I guess.

Very nice car, man. Im very jealous if you couldnt tell? Absolutely the best color on a Mach 1, sorry Azure guys, Azure is awesome too and I would take that as well.

That was quick on the Raxiom lights front and back, how did you get them so quick? Or did you already have them ordered? Just curious. Looking good and your not even a week into yet.

Congrats on the new Mach! Don't bother with 3.73's lol. Mine had them when I bought it. When I rebuilt the rear under extended warranty, I went with 3.55's. there is just so little difference between the two, it's not even worth the money spent to swap gears. I would at least go with Motive 3.90's or 4.10's. I'm planning to do 4.10's in mine when I upgrade to 31 spline axels. I might even consider 4.30's since it's not my daily and I don't have to shift in traffic. Just my opinion of course. DSG is a great color.

The way that tranny is geared, 3.55's certainly aren't bad. I take my Mach to the track a half dozen times a season and have fun lol. I think the Mach's are actually great for daily driving. Decent gas mileage, fun (of course lol), safe, and pretty damn reliable from my experience. I daily'd mine for about 2.5 years. We saved up to buy my wife something newer and I took her old POS.

How long did you have your old Mach?
