Mach 1 rotors

Hey guys so my rear rotors are toast. I'm going to buy new rear rotors and brake pads. I was curious as to the whole "vented/ solid " thing. The Mach 1 rotors are vented right? And what is the difference?? Not too educated on that.

Mach 1 rotors

Solid means one disk; vented means two disks. Like so...

Mach/Bullitt/Cobra are all the same. Just like in the pic above. Vented and the calipers are moved out further for more leverage/better braking. Obviously the rotors are bigger too.
2000 Mustang GT Steeda #0048 34k miles. 99 Cobra 4V swapped, FTBR IRS swapped, exhaust, tuned by James Gordon.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.

Are your current front brakes vented? I don't see much point in spending extra money on vented/larger rear brakes that really don't do too much for standard driving.

If you are still running factory solids I would keep them the same. If you want to upgrade to vented Cobra/Bullitt/Mach 1 brakes you can pick up a conversion kit for the fronts fairly cheap.
