they are very costly, and you get VERY little for the extra money you spend. You would be far better off purchasing a normal GT500 and modifying it yourself, the end result will be a cheaper more badass car.

Re: 2008 mustang shelby gt500kr

the Kr has a different hood , a different suspension and wheels , 40 more HP ( from a cold air kit and different tune ) and some badges and other odds and ends , is that worth $40 to $ 50 G's more ???? NFW

Our dealership had one new on the lot and JUST sold it. Original price tag was 84,000. They finally got rid of it for 68,000.

That'd be sick to get a GT500 and customize it and brand it GT500 BA

If your very patient you can land a good one .... Just my side of a story. Looked and looked for a gt500 had a 06' gt mustang for trade . And like you once you get into a Shelby and see the difference in vehicles it's hard to sleep at night ... Don't get me wrong I loved my gt but it's something bout a gt500 !! And I found a 07' 6800 miles , untouched besides Jba muffled axel backs and a ford raving shifter knob and shaft as far as mods for 34,000 at park place Porsche in uptown Dallas Texas of all places ... Be patent know what ya want and check craigslist and cars.com thoroughly. Keep me posted on the search and find !!!

Check out this site....texasautodirect.com. they have two 08 kr's I've been looking at and both have only around 1k miles...super low! They are based out of houston but sell on ebay...their "buy it now" price is around 54k.... They have some other cobras you may like too...all seem to be very gently used...check it out and let me know what you think...beautiful kr's..

Re: 2008 mustang shelby gt500kr

I've been driving It with no stripes but I'm painting the stripes right now, I'll be able to send you a crap load of pics by the weekend, it looks exactly like the one you have on your pic, this one is stock in appeance sep for a steeda lowering kit, and it also has a currie 9 inch rear end with 373s fully adjustable, tell him to give me a couple days and I'll get all the pics he needs and well go from there, also I might be able to help him out on the price too, thanks!

I was home on leave when they sold it. Guy traded in his GT500 for it. The service manager bought the GT500 for his self. The guy who bought the KR thought he was at big **** at the local target meet up. Talking how fast it is blah blah what it cost. Yet when called out he wouldn't run no one. LOL. I think he could have been scarred of teh 500-800whp EVO's/Vette's/and Other mustangs. He came to my car was like nice but I have a KR. I said was like ya cool. Bring it to the track and let it run them 12 sec 1/4 miles they all run.

If you do get a GT500 wait a little and pic up a 2010 or 2011. Starting with more over the 09 and prior.

2007-2009 gt500's are in my opinion the better body style and the more old school looking to me ... 2010 and up they (Ford) went after the Camaro look with rounding the back and all .. Also widening them .. Love my 07' ! And as far as mods same engine same heads ... Just block is heat sensitive Al and tunning and a added cai ... Ask any one and iron blocked 5.4 can handle all power !!! Watch the 7 second twin turbo 07' stock block run on YouTube !

It's kinda weird that clutch went so early, you making crazy power or something? I've never had any clutch probs with these cars and they see plenty track time
