Have a question. I have a 2010 GT now.

But I was at the dealer the other day and a guy traded in a 2007 Shelly GT500 the car of my dreams. It has 9000 miles on it looks like it rolled of the showroom floor. My GT has 2500 miles on it. They want my car and $10,000. New to this fourm and just wanted to know what you all think.. Thanks in advance for your opinions..

That's really up to you, if you can talk them down some then great. If your really happy with your car then keep it, but if your not then 10 grand isn't to bad for your dream car

I get it's up to me just wanted some opinions on what people thought about the deal. Sound like a good deal or not that kinda thing. The car also has about $6500 worth of aftermarket upgrades.

Hard to say if it's a good deal or not how much u gettin for ur trade ? And another thing to keep in mind a gt500 with 6500 in upgrades will never b worth as much as a all original gt500 no matter what upgrades they r.

Don't give them any extra for the upgrades. When buying/selling cars, aftermarket add-ons never amount to much in the "value" of a car. It may be worth something to you, but the dealership doesn't need to know that. Check KBB for the listed retail & trade in values of the two cars to get what they should be asking.

That's pretty expensive for a car that's 5 years old, granted it has low miles but that's a bit much.

Actually that sounds about right. Your car plus 10k would be about 35k ish. Make sure those upgrades aren't internals. If they are strictly bolt on's then go with it man. I'd take a Snake over a GT any day of the week !!!! Good luck

I'd go for it. I had a GT and I upgraded for a Shelby. I'm in love with it. I'm sure there is still wiggle room or at least shop around to see what the 07 are going for.

Re: Have a question. I have a 2010 GT now.

Just a Little something I recently read on an automobile site : the 2007 thru 2009 GT500's hold the 2nd highest resale/trade value of all the cars sold in the USA , I forgot who was 1st ,but it was a foreign make ,so that's something to keep in mind ...

GT500 isn't a collectable car anyways. It's worth what it's worth but not more from a collectors view.

I couldn't have said it any better. Pull the trigger if the mods to the Shelby are sane ones.

Re: Have a question. I have a 2010 GT now.

I'd have already written them a check. Those are very sensible and worthwhile mods.
